Agusta Westland Chopper SCAM: BJP’s six questions to UPA govt

New Delhi: The BJP has demanded a time-bound CBI inquiry monitored by the court into the chopper scam. The party said on Friday that on its own the CBI may not be motivated enough to carry out a detailed, impartial inquiry.

BJP national spokesperson Prakash Javdekar said that the agency should carry out an investigation under court supervision.

The party raised six questions which it wanted the probe to figure out: .

These were
a) Who finalised and signed the VVIP chopper deal?
b) Who received the kickbacks
c) At two places, the Italian charge-sheet talks about payment of 28 million euros to “The Family”. The nation wants to know who “The Family” is.
d) What is the connection between Haschke and Emaar MGF?
e) What is the status and role of IDS India in the chopper scam? f) Has the government issued a Letter Rogatory in connection with this scam?

He said that even though the issue of kickbacks came to light in 2012 itself, the government avoided a proper into the chopper scam.
